The America Bangladesh Library aims to foster dynamic and responsive services to all its users, by projecting better professional practices and nurturing quality, creativity and effectiveness through its collections and services.
Background
The Library is the center of the America Bangladesh University . It has been growing with the university constantly serving the vibrant community of students and faculty members since its establishment.
America Bangladesh University Library is the center to facilitate knowledge acquisition by providing Reading Materials/ Resources to Students, Faculty Members and Staff. A constant growth of Library resources is carefully maintained to serve the vibrant community of Library Users since its establishment.
Library Resources
America Bangladesh University Library is enriched with various types of resources that includes Textbooks, Reference Books, Special & Rare Books, e-Books, Periodicals, National and International Journals & Magazines (print & online), Reports, Newspapers (national & international), Audio -Visual Materials and Maps & Atlas etc. Besides, The Library is a member of a variety of Online Archives & Databases.
Library Resources are kept on the shelf in line with Program, Category and Subcategory according to International Classification System, called ‘DDC’ (Dewey Decimal Classification).
Library Orientation
America Bangladesh University Library arranges orientation program every semester for the freshers on regular basis to orient them with Library resources, activities & facilities. Also Library is introduced to freshers at central orientation in auditorium through Library Documentary/Video. Library conducts Library Tour through following 4 steps.
